Maintain, analyze, and evaluate the clinical record: Initiate record upons admission; review/audit each clinical record to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of documentation; notify appropriate staff when documentation is incomplete; purge portions of the record and file all information in accordance with established procedure; coordinate a forms management process for the development, review, and reproduction of all facility forms; maintain a master forms manual

Maintain privacy and security of health information: assure physical protection is in place to prevent loss, destruction, or unauthorized access or use of manual and electronic records; enforce chart control/sign-out procedures of all records for all staff; maintain sicurity of record storage areas and file rooms; respond to requests for information from the clinical record according to facility policy and regulatory timeframes; maintain record systems to assure confidentiality of protected health information; maintain system for retention and destruction of clinical records.

Maintain secondary record systems: maintain the Patient Register and the Master Patient Index in accordance with established procedure; maintain a record of disclosure of health information from the clinical record as directed by Administration.

Compile statistics: prepare statistical reports as directed by Administration; collect and compile data as needed for the facility Quality Improvement process; compile data upon request for reviews and evaluation of facility and staff resource utilization; assign appropriate ICD-9-CM diagnostic code(s) for classification of resident and /or diagnostic conditions.

Manage, distribute and maintain accounting of resident funds, including the processing of data entries for all resident transactions.

Processes monthly statements for designated Medicaid residents in a timely manner

Open, distribute and account code invoices daily to ensure proper payment

Process uniform orders including placing orders, completing inventory on incoming product and billing associates.
