Hiawatha Academies seeks a dedicated School-Age Childcare Assistant and teammate to join our team. This is an immediate opening.


Job Description

In accordance with Minnesota state guidance, Hiawatha Academies will provide childcare for school-age children (ages 5-12, grades K-6) of critical workers in Tier 1 of the state critical workers list. Childcare will be provided at no cost during the typical school hours. Hiawatha Academies’ childcare program will be led by a Childcare Coordinator and will be staffed by current Hiawatha Academies staff members and a team of Childcare Assistants.


Childcare Assistants are responsible for providing direct support to the students, ages 5-12 (grades K-6) in the network’s childcare program. Childcare assistants will ensure students are in a safe and healthy environment, one that follows the network’s COVID-19 guidelines. Childcare assistants will work alongside the childcare program team, and under the guidance of the School-Age Childcare Coordinator.
